About Steph

For almost 10 years, I was neck-deep in the fashion industry as a blogger and self-taught designer.
Fashion weeks.
Brand collaborations.
Owning my own independent fashion label.
All of it!
Now?
My current, and most notable, collaborations involve raising a toddler and growing a new little human, being a homemaker and partner to a man that loves me as we build an intentional, faith-filled and peaceful life together, and talking to rabbits and chickens daily like they'll talk back.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Hi, I'm Steph!
After a lengthy hiatus from content creation (the fashion industry burnt me out more than a blown electric fence), I have returned to not only document our journey from half-acre homestead to 10+ acres and a creek (the dream!), but encourage and inspire others.

With a witty, authentic and relatable outlook on life, I just might be the tough love and "aha!" moment you've been looking for in a content creator, without all the façades that I have it all together...because I certainly don't!

Through fun and folly, I cover topics from animal husbandry, gardening, archery/hunting, faith-based (Christian) motherhood, primal/ancestral health and of course I can't resist a good fashion moment still!

Not Your Average Blog
Technology and being "connected" to the overly-abundant way we are today gives me a slight ick - I will be the first to tell you that and be completely honest.
I almost didn't start this blog or my YouTube channel because of it.
But there is certain content that needs to be shared. And when the Lord constantly nudges you toward something, and tells you to do it in a way that goes against the norm, you do it, no matter what.

Steph on the 'Stead aims to be a disconnected, slow-paced platform. You won't find any mindless content here pushing consumerism of what's trending, sponsorships and affiliate marketing always come secondary to free content. In fact, any income that comes from this blog, is usually things I've created myself like guides, cookbooks and homestead resources (the latter two coming soon!)

I want this blog to become a digital heirloom so to speak - Like your grandmother's favorite well-worn cookbook with the dog-eared pages, little handwritten notes and smudges. I want this blog to feel like you sat down for a warm cup of coffee with me to chat about anything under the Lord's sun.
